The reed switch is an electrical switch operated by an applied magnetic field. It is designed for use with alarm systems and is great for use in family and factory windows, doors, etc. It is screw mounted for easy installation.

NC means Normally Closed: When the magnet is together, the circuit is conductive, and the light is on. When the magnet is separated, the circuit is not conductive, and the light is off.

NO means Normally Open: When the magnet is separated, the circuit is not conductive, and the light is on. When the magnet is together, the circuit is conductive, and the light is off.

The maximum switch voltage is 100V. The contact capacity is 500mA (Maximum Switch Current) and the rated power is 10W (Maximum Switch Power).

It is great for use with alarm systems, LED lights, relays, GPS low voltage devices, etc. The trigger range is 10-20mm and the contact type is NC/NO/COM.
