The Magnetic Reed Switch should be installed as follows:

1: The door and window magnet should be installed at the closed position of the door/window. 2: The magnet part should be installed on the movable door and window, and the switch part on the fixed door and window frame. They should be aligned as closely as possible. 3: Avoid placing the door magnet near strong magnetic field interference sources such as transformers, as this can affect its working characteristics and lead to incorrect actions. 4: These Magnetic Contact sensors can be added to an existing wired Alarm Systems, and are perfect for protecting doors, windows, patio doors, and any opening device like a drawer or cupboard. The alarm will be activated immediately if there is no contact. 5: Recommendations for use include wooden doors, windows, metal doors, gates, and other compatible applications. 6: N.C. means Normally Closed and N.O. means Normally Open. Please check the need carefully before purchasing.
